Hey guys! So yesterday i went to a little event called Beauty Tips For Girls. and when i say little, i mean little, there was about 15 of us i think, i went there with my 2 friends. there were 3 ladies talking to us about hair, nails, makeup and all this kind of beauty stuff :) while i was there i thought that i could make a blog post about it, i learned some new stuff, obviousely some of the thigs they talked about, i already knew.
Okay so first hair:
*They said that if you want to colour your hair on your own, without going to the salon and if you want to go black, then one of the worst to use is Palette, palette black is really intense and if you want to go any different colour later, it's gonna be really hard, they did not recommend it at all.
*They did say tho that first time ever colouring your hair you should definately go to a salon

*did you know that blondes have about 150 000 hairs, brunettes have about 100 00 hairs and redheads have about 50 000 hairs in their head, there's about 3000 hairs in 1cm2.
*You should wash your hair every other day or less, washing every day isn't good.
*You should change your shampoo atleast once a year (i do it after every time i run out of a bottle)
*Always use conditioner, when you make your hair wet, it will open your hair so that it would go clean, you use shampoo, which leaves the hair open, when you put conditioner, it will close the hair and the dirt won't get in. (imagine your hair string as a spruce cone) if you spray conditioner after, it will only make good, only that wouldn't be enough tho.
*did you know that after about 3 months without washing your hair, it will start cleaning itself
*Cutting your hair won't make it grow faster
*Hair grows in 2-10 years period, after that your hair will stop growing, that's why some people have normally longer hair than others.
*Don't wear pony tail all the time, it will damage your hair.
*When you straigten or blow dry, ALWAYS use heat protection, again it won't damage your hair that much then.
* If you're in a camp or some place with no water for a while and you maybe don't have dry shampoo, starch or baby powder will work the same.
On to nails:
*Always use base coat, if you don't then that's probably why your nails are yellow.
*Gel nails isn't the best choice, it will damage your own nail so much and now they have a theory that the UV lamp, they use, might cause cancer
*if you want gel nails, then a gel polish would be a better go.
*You know when the skin starts to come on your nail? then to push it away, don't use metallic tool, prefer wood or plastic or you can even do it with your own nails.
*when the nail skin is really dry and hard, don't cut (or even worse bite) it off, just use some creams that will soften it up.
*Don't bite your nails, it's not good for them and well it doesn't look pretty at all.
Lastly makeup:
*Test foundation colour on your chin line
*Always remove makeup before sleep, it makes you look so much older in the future and the skin must be able to breathe.
*they said that you should actually remove makeup right after school but i'm way too lazy for that.
*Drink LOTS of water, it makes skin much healthier looking and feeling.
*When you have had a bit of sun burn on your face or you skin is just dry, then don't use foundation, it will show off much more.
*Foundation or any product is always better if it has SPF.
*did you know that there are pinky and yellowish tones of foundation, you have to find out, which matches your skin tone better.
*Use different masks and moisturisers, they always make skin look much better and awake.
Now one lady took a model and showed makeup on her, and well my friend was picked as a model :) so i'm going to tell you a little bit about that too.
firstly she made sure, which tone of foundation goes with her skin, and she said you can either apply it with a brush, fingers or a little sponge, she used a sponge. after that she put on blush and then we moved on to eyes. pink colours are always a sure go, a bit more challenging colours are blue and purple. she picked pink and dark pink/brown. if you want to use eyeliner too, then you should always use atleast a little bit of eye shadow or it will leave a nice little stripe on the lid, you don't want that :D then she put on mascara and moved on to lips. if you have lips with no certain outer line, you can use lip liner but it isn't really recommended for younger people. she went for all pink look so the lips were pink too, lips were filled with a glossy pink lip gloss. If you want to make it look like you have bigger eyes then use white liner on the water line and on the lid, exactly at that place where the eye pupil is. also use white or light shade under eyebrows and well the place where i drew with pancil on the drawing, marks the light colour places :D (sorry about that nose)

In the picture you can also see a weird line from nose to eyebrow, that shows the shape and lengt that your eyebrows should be and always make your brows wider and bigger from the inner corner.
She also said that you can use white on chin, if it's too small and if anything's too big just use bronzer.
So this is the finished look on the model :)
